Create a ceremony that feels personal, thoughtful and meaningful with Doula D

Whether you are welcoming a new baby, celebrating your child’s name, or gathering loved ones for a mother blessing, I can help you shape a beautiful occasion that reflects your story and values.

A ceremony is more than a moment in time. It is a chance to pause, honour a transition, and bring the people who matter most together in a way that feels calm, supportive and memorable.

Naming days

A naming day is a special way to welcome and celebrate a child. It is a joyful, relaxed alternative to a religious naming ceremony, and it can be shaped around your family’s beliefs, traditions and hopes for the future.

Naming days can be full of warmth, symbolism and love.

They may include readings, promises, family blessings, role acknowledgements, or other meaningful touches that make the day feel truly personal.

Whether you want a simple gathering or a larger celebration, I can help you design a ceremony that feels just right.

Mother blessings

A mother blessing is a heartfelt alternative to a baby shower. Instead of focusing on gifts for the baby, it brings together a circle of loved ones to support and celebrate the person preparing to become a parent. It is a chance to honour the journey ahead, recognise the transition to parenthood, and surround someone with encouragement, love and strength.

Mother blessings can include meaningful readings, shared reflections, symbolic rituals and small acts of support from family and friends. They are often deeply moving, and they create space for connection, rest and reassurance at an important time in life.

I work with my amazing doula partner Kat to help you plan a ceremony that feels nurturing, personal and calm.

Family celebrations

Alongside mother blessings and naming days, I also offer bespoke family ceremonies for moments you want to mark with care.

That might include a welcome ceremony, a celebration of new parenthood, or another special gathering where words, ritual and intention matter.

We work together to create a ceremony  designed to feel calm and inclusive, with the focus on connection, meaning and support.

If there is something important in your family’s life that you would like to honour, I can help you create a ceremony around it.

What is included?

Every family is different, which is why each ceremony I create is completely tailored to you. Some people want something simple and intimate, while others want a more symbolic and celebratory gathering. My role is to help you create the right tone, find the right words and develop a ceremony that feels connected to you and your circle of family, friends and supporters.

As a doula and celebrant, I bring a warm, grounded approach to each event. I understand how important it is to feel held and supported at moments of change, and I will work with you to make sure your ceremony feels natural, meaningful and true to you.

When you book a celebrant service with me, you get support from your booking through to the event:

A friendly initial chat to talk through your ideas.
Help shaping the tone, structure and content of the ceremony.
Support with wording, readings and celebration suggestions.
Support with planning the flow of the day.
A bespoke narrative woven through the celebration.
A calm and confident presence to guide the ceremony itself.

How it works

We start with a conversation about what you would like to celebrate, the feeling you want the ceremony to have, and any themes or traditions you would like to include. From there, I will help develop the structure and wording, so the ceremony reflects your story in a gentle and authentic way.

In the lead-up to the event, I can help coordinate details and make sure everything feels clear and manageable. On the day itself, I will support the ceremony so you can be fully present with your family and guests.

Why choose Doula D

Choosing a celebrant is about more than finding someone to lead a ceremony. It is about finding someone who understands the emotional weight and beauty of these moments. With me, you get a caring, personal approach shaped by experience, warmth and attention to detail.

My aim is to create ceremonies that feel grounded, meaningful and memorable. Whether you are planning a mother blessing, naming day or another family celebration, I will help you create something that feels like it belongs to you.
